A supplier of industrial consumables held stock at each of its five service branches, which meant five sets of slow-moving inventory and no visibility of total cover.
What we changed
Stock centralised into one GDH hub with next-day delivery to all five branches and direct delivery to end sites for the twenty fastest-moving lines.
The result
Total inventory fell 31% with no drop in service, and branch staff stopped spending mornings counting stock.
